Port Klang, 26 March 2025 — in conjunction with the successful ongoing Pavement Condition Assessment (PCA) project carried out by IKRAM Premier Consulting Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of IKRAM Works Sdn Bhd, a special presentation session was held at PKFZ Headquarters, Port Klang. The event aimed to introduce IKRAM Works’ corporate profile, core services, and its digital transformation journey—particularly its implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) across engineering and infrastructure projects.
Leading the IKRAM Works delegation was Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Ir. Ts. Hj. Mohd Taufik bin Haron, alongside the BIM team. The delegation was warmly received by PKFZ representatives, including Mr. Suhail bin Omar, Assisstant Manager, Engineering Department and the session was chaired by PKFZ Chief Executive Officer, Mdm Priscilla Lim Swat Hah.
Delivering the main presentation was IKRAM BIM Assistant Manager, Ts. Mohd Farhan Bin Hasan, who began with an overview of IKRAM Works’ legacy as a centre of engineering solutions, highlighting its key areas of expertise including geotechnical engineering, pavement and highway engineering, structural and forensic engineering, construction technology, and professional training services.
As part of the engagement, IKRAM showcased several successfully completed and ongoing BIM-driven projects across diverse domains—including buildings, slope remedial works, structural rehabilitation, and infrastructure development. The presentation also detailed the execution process, technical challenges, and how BIM facilitated decision-making and improved project coordination.
The event witnessed active participation from PKFZ personnel, with a robust Q&A session where attendees shared views and sought deeper insights into BIM. The positive feedback highlighted PKFZ’s keen interest in leveraging BIM for future developments—especially in slope-related infrastructure projects.
