The highlight of the BIM showcase was the Scan-to-BIM service, which integrates technologies such as Terrestrial Laser Scanners (TLS), Drone Mapping, and LiDAR technology. This service enhances construction accuracy, improves project lifecycle management, and minimizes risks.
Leadership in BIM Innovation
Mr. Mohd Farhan Hasan, Assistant BIM Manager of IWSB, delivered an engaging presentation emphasizing the importance of BIM adoption in modern construction processes. He elaborated on the company’s advanced BIM capabilities, particularly the Scan-to-BIM workflow. Attendees witnessed a live demonstration of the Terrestrial Laser Scanner (TLS), which captures high-precision Point Cloud data for detailed analysis and project modelling.
Mr. Farhan highlighted how IWSB leverages these technologies to streamline workflows, optimize resource allocation, and ensure project deliverables meet the highest standards. The demonstration sparked significant interest among attendees, including professionals from government agencies and industry stakeholders.
Driving Sustainable Engineering Practices
Aligned with the government’s initiatives through the Ministry of Works to encourage BIM integration across construction projects, IWSB reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable and resilient engineering practices. The company’s approach integrates BIM with sustainable construction methodologies, contributing to efficient resource utilization and reduced environmental impact.
Strengthening Industry Ties and Future Prospects
Throughout the two-day event, IWSB engaged in productive dialogues with industry professionals and key stakeholders, laying the foundation for future collaborations and partnerships. The event served as an excellent platform for IWSB to reinforce its reputation as a leader in engineering solutions and to explore new opportunities in Malaysia’s evolving infrastructure landscape.
