     Pulau Pinang, 18 October 2024 – IKRAM Works Sdn Bhd, a prominent player in an engineering sector, was honored to accept an invitation from Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) Pulau Pinang to deliver a technical presentation at Bilik Mesyuarat Mutiara, JKR Pulau Pinang. The IKRAM delegation, led by Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Ir. Ts. Hj. Mohd Taufik Bin Haron, was warmly received by Dato’ Ir. Ahmad Nadzri bin Abdul Majid, Director of JKR Pulau Pinang, and JKR representatives, including Mr. Khairol Rizal.

     The session began with a welcoming speech by Dato’ Ir. Ahmad Nadzri, who emphasized the importance of collaboration between JKR and industry leaders like IKRAM in advancing the nation’s infrastructure development. He expressed optimism about the potential synergies that could arise from IKRAM’s proven expertise in engineering and technical solutions, particularly in areas critical to Pulau Pinang’s infrastructure.

    Dato’ Ir. Ts. Hj. Mohd Taufik Bin Haron, CEO of IKRAM, followed with his own remarks, underscoring IKRAM’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions in geotechnical engineering and embracing new technologies such as Building Information Modeling (BIM). He also highlighted IKRAM’s longstanding reputation for excellence, particularly in the fields of slope monitoring and remedial works, which play a vital role in safeguarding infrastructure and public safety.

       The main presentation, which showcased IKRAM’s core services, was the highlight of the event.

       A significant portion of the presentation was dedicated to IKRAM’s work in “Slope Hazard & Risk Mapping”, demonstrating its pivotal role in safeguarding slopes across the country. Examples of completed and ongoing projects such as the Kuala Lumpur Slope Investigation System (KuLSIS), MRT Kajang Line, and Hulu Langat Slope Remedial Works were shared with attendees.

   IKRAM’s expertise in Building Information Modeling (BIM) was another focal point of the presentation. The company emphasized its leadership in adopting and implementing BIM technology in various disciplines, including structures, architecture, and infrastructure. Case studies of completed and ongoing projects were presented, demonstrating how BIM technology has been effectively used in slope monitoring and remedial works.

       The presentation concluded with a fruitful discussion between IKRAM and JKR Pulau Pinang, exploring potential collaboration opportunities. JKR Pulau Pinang expressed strong interest in IKRAM’s slope hazard and risk mapping services, as well as its BIM technology, with both parties optimistic about future joint initiatives.

    The visit ended with a group photo, commemorating what both parties described as a highly productive and promising engagement.
