KAJANG, 24 July 2026 – IKRAM Works Sdn. Bhd. (IKRAM) welcomed a delegation from OKI Data (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. – Malaysia Branch Office to IKRAM Headquarters for a technology sharing and engagement session aimed at exploring potential areas of collaboration, particularly in the application of smart monitoring technologies, Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, and digital engineering.
OKI was represented by Mr. Goh Jin Hock, Senior Business Manager, and Ms. Nor Aina Hasim, Senior Business Executive. The IKRAM delegation was chaired by Ts. Mohd Hafiz Mohd Razali, Senior Manager of IKRAM Construction Division, together with members of IKRAM’s Construction and Building Information Modelling (BIM) teams.
The session commenced with welcoming remarks from representatives of both IKRAM and OKI, setting the stage for a productive exchange of technical knowledge, organisational capabilities and emerging technology solutions.
IKRAM subsequently delivered a presentation introducing its comprehensive range of engineering and consultancy services, with particular emphasis on the organisation’s ongoing adoption and implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM). The presentation highlighted how BIM is being progressively integrated into IKRAM’s engineering workflows to strengthen design coordination, digital project delivery, technical visualisation, information management and lifecycle-based engineering solutions.
The session continued with a corporate and technology presentation by OKI, which introduced its capabilities and highlighted the “Zero Energy IoT Series”, comprising the Ultrasonic Water Level Gauge, High-Sensitive Camera and Acceleration Sensor. These technologies demonstrated the potential of low-maintenance and energy-efficient sensing solutions for remote monitoring and data collection applications.
OKI also showcased several case studies involving actual projects where these technologies have been deployed, providing participants with practical insights into their implementation and potential application across infrastructure, construction, environmental and asset-monitoring environments.
The technology sharing generated strong interest among IKRAM’s Construction and BIM teams, particularly in understanding how IoT-based sensing technologies could potentially complement IKRAM’s existing engineering expertise, BIM capabilities and digitalisation initiatives. The combination of engineering information models with real-time or field-generated monitoring data presents opportunities to further enhance data-driven decision-making, asset monitoring, risk management and the development of more integrated digital engineering solutions.
The engagement concluded with a constructive discussion on the way forward and potential areas of collaboration between IKRAM and OKI. Both parties exchanged perspectives on how their respective technical capabilities and technologies could potentially be integrated to support future engineering, construction and infrastructure applications.
The visit reflects IKRAM’s continuous commitment towards engaging with technology providers and industry partners to explore innovative solutions that can strengthen its capabilities as an Engineering & Consultancy organisation and support its journey towards greater digitalisation, smart engineering and technology-driven project delivery.
The session concluded with a group photography session between representatives of IKRAM and OKI, marking a positive engagement and the beginning of potential future collaboration between both organisations.
