KAJANG, 22 May 2026 – IKRAM Headquarters welcomed Geo Technology Resource (GTR) Sdn. Bhd. for a technical visit and presentation session aimed at strengthening industry collaboration and exploring advancements in geological digitalization and subsurface mapping technologies.
Representing GTR were Mr. Ahmad Bin Hj. Mohd, Managing Director, and P.Geol Devendran Arumugam FIGM, Senior Consultant. The session was chaired by Dato’ Ir. Ts. Hj. Mohd Taufik Bin Haron, Chief Executive Officer of IKRAM Works Sdn. Bhd., and attended by members of IKRAM’s Construction & BIM Division.
The programme commenced with an opening address by Dato’ Ir. Ts. Hj. Mohd Taufik, who welcomed the GTR delegation and highlighted the importance of strategic knowledge exchange in supporting innovation and future-ready engineering solutions.
Following the opening remarks, Mr. Ts. Mohd Farhan Bin Hasan delivered a presentation on IKRAM, covering the company’s background, core services, and Building Information Modelling (BIM) capabilities. The presentation showcased IKRAM’s expertise and ongoing commitment to technological advancement within the construction and engineering sectors.
GTR then conducted a comprehensive technical presentation introducing the company’s background, products, and professional services. A key highlight of the session focused on Geological Digitalization and Subsurface Mapping for Sustainable Urban Development in Kuala Lumpur.
The presentation covered several important topics, including the geological background of Kuala Lumpur, conventional geological mapping methods, digitalization in geological mapping, geophysical applications in urban mapping, integration of geological data, Kuala Lumpur case studies, the benefits of geological digitalization, as well as challenges and future opportunities in the field.
GTR’s innovative products and technical capabilities drew strong interest from IKRAM participants, particularly due to their alignment with IKRAM’s existing expertise and their potential to enhance future service offerings. The session encouraged meaningful discussions and knowledge sharing between both organizations.
